Akira Yoshino, a renowned Japanese chemist, revolutionized the field of energy storage with his groundbreaking invention of the lithium-ion battery. His pioneering work, recognized by the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2019, has transformed how we power our modern world. Yoshino’s innovative approach to battery technology has enabled the development of portable electronic devices, electric vehicles, and renewable energy storage solutions, making a significant impact on our daily lives

He is a leading global figure in experimental particle physics and currently heads the Institute of High Energy Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His groundbreaking work, including the BESIII and Daya Bay experiments, has significantly advanced our understanding of particle physics. Wang is now spearheading the JUNO experiment and has proposed the ambitious CEPC project. His numerous awards and honors recognize his exceptional contributions to the field.

SCIENCE WORKSHOPS

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is challenging at any age, and for adults 50 and over, one of the best ways to combat the symptoms of “old age” is to be educated about ways to stay healthy.

The Science Workshops event will feature hands-on activities emphasizing innovation and scientific experimentation across various fields of science and technology. Participants can select from approximately five workshops. Participants are required to pre-register for their chosen workshops in advance. Workshop topics include robotics, computer science, AR/VR technology, biotechnology, etc.
